Limitations

Borrowers must reside in Miami-Dade County at the time of application. Must get approved for first mortgage financing through a program approved MLO and Lender. In person homebuyer education is required via a MDEAT and HUD approved Housing Counseling Agency. A HAP Approved closing agent MUST be used in order for borrowers to be eligible to receive MDEAT HAP funds. Therefore, you must select a Closing Agent from their closing agent list to assist you. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS POLICY. Funds include a $250 homebuyer counseling payout. Seller-held mortgages & loan assumptions are not allowed.

Household Income: Anyone, 18 years or older that has a documented source of income.

Maximum Assistance

$28,500 Allowable Assistance amount varies based on income level of the applicant and need. Assistance amounts reflected here are shown on the Current Income limit chart. For Households at or below 80% of Miami-Dade County adjusted gross median income: The maximum assistance is $28,500.00; however, the Combined-Loan-To-Value (CLTV) may NOT exceed 105.00%. *For Households above 80% (up to 140%) of Miami-Dade County adjusted gross median income: The maximum assistance is THE LOWER OF 4.00% of the property purchase price or $14,500.00.

Education Requirements Info:
